5 Things: Fiddler on The Roof and Short Plays and Stories

Prospect Heights-area events plus today's alternate side information.

1. See a short play. Tonight, The Family Repertory Company Presents: A Night of Short Plays and Stories at LaunchPad. 721 Franklin Ave. bet. Park and Sterling. 7:30 p.m. $10 suggested donation. 

2. Catch a (child-size) Broadway show.
 The Brooklyn Children’s Theatre (BCT) Teen Players are putting on Broadway classic Fiddler on the Roof, performed by the Players' most diverse cast ever.  Friday, June 7, 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 8 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. 126 Saint Felix St., between Hanson Place and Lafayette Avenue. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the BCT Scholarship Fund. 

3. Tap into your inner naturalist. At the Prospect Park Audubon Center, make your own journal, learn how to use binoculars and learn how to use field guides. Thursdays and Fridays, 2–3 p.m. until Friday, June 28. Free. 

4. Hear some tunes. An eclectic line-up tonight at The Way Station with Charlie Phillips + Grey Alone + Echo Bloom + Aaron Connor on tap. 683 Washington Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. 7 p.m. Free.  

5. Move your car. DOT’s alternate side parking rules are in effect today.
