Cops Hunt Mugger Who Beat-Up 69-Year-Old Woman

Man attacked senior citizen in her apartment building elevator on St. Johns Place between Classon and Franklin avenues.

Police are asking for help to identify a man who attacked a woman in an apartment building elevator Friday evening. 

The 69-year-old victim was in the elevator of a building on Saint Johns Place between Classon and Franklin at about 6:20 p.m. Friday when the man got in with her and pushed the button for the second floor, police said. 

When the doors opened, on the second floor the man pushed the woman to the ground and then kicked and punched her. He then took her rings, chains and pendants and left, according to the cops.

The woman said she didn't need medical attention. 

The attacker is a black man standing 5-foot-9 and weighing about 185 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt. The video above shows the man waiting for the woman to enter the building.
