St. Johns Place Break-In and Car Attacked: Today’s Police Blotter

St. Johns Place Burglary

A 31-year-old man reported that someone broke into his apartment in the middle of the day, apparently through an unlocked back window on a fire escape. Taken were $5,400 worth of property including an iPod, a wedding ring and to jars of change, according to a police report.

The break-in took place on St. Johns Place between Washington and Underhill on Tuesday, June 26 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

 

Car Attacked

A 57-year-old man discovered his car vandalized. The sunroof was broken and the roof had a series of dents in it. The damage happened while the car was parked on Park Place between Classon and Franklin on June 25 and June 26, according to a police report.

 

Handicapped Parking Permits Go Missing

Two handicapped parking permits were reported missing in one week, according to police reports.

A 66-year-old man said someone stole his disability parking permit from inside his car while it was parked on St. Johns Place between Underhill and Washington sometime between June 22 and June 27.   

In addition, an 80-year-old woman reported that she lost a parking permit while her car was parked on St. Marks Avenue between Carlton and Vanderbilt on June 25.
