Franklin Park Purse Swipe

A woman’s purse was swiped from the back of a chair at Franklin Park Saturday.

The 29-year-old woman, who was sitting inside the bar at 618 St. Johns Place at Franklin Avenue, left the bag unguarded for a few minutes, and when she returned at about 10:40 p.m., the bag was gone. The purse included her wallet, checkbook $50 cell phone and $200 Kate Spade sunglasses, according to a police report.

Man Uses Toy Gun to Get Real Money

A man used a toy gun to hold up a 30-year-old woman in front of 20 Butler Place.

The woman was about to enter the building at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 when the man held up the gun and demanded her money. The woman identified a suspect to police shortly after they arrived and a 19-year-old man was arrested, according the police report. 

 

Cyclist Hits Man, Pulls Knife

A 43-year-old man walking on Park Place near Flatbush was hit by a man riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, but when  the man complained about it, the bicyclist pulled out a knife and said “I’m going to stab you” before riding off.

The incident happened Wednesday, May 18 at about 9:45 a.m., according to a police report.

 

Man Punched Over Parking Spot

A 36-year-old man was punched so hard he fell to the ground during an argument over a parking spot in front of 720 Classon Avenue.

After hitting the man, the attacker jumped back into his black Honda Civic and drove off. The victim, whose leg was injured in the fall, was treated by EMS workers, according to a police report. The attack happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20.
