Police Blotter: Knifepoint Mugging, Couple Attacked on St. Mark's, Man Slashed on Pacific, More

Couple Assaulted on St. Marks Avenue 

A man and woman in their early 30s were standing in front of their home on St. Marks Avenue at Carlton, when they were punched and robbed.

At 8:35 p.m. on June 30, a group of men and one woman came up to the couple. One person punched the man in the face and said “give me all you got.” The woman gave the man $60. One of the men punched the woman in the face and the group left.

Man Slashed on Pacific Street

A 19-year-old man was attacked and slashed in the back and head during a failed mugging on July 2.

The man was walking from home from a club just after midnight when, at the corner of Pacific Street and Classon Avenue, he was approached by five men. One said “give me what’s in your pocket.” The man briefly fought back, and was cut twice on his lower back and once on the back of his head. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The attackers fled without stealing anything from the man.

 

Car Stolen After Man Leaves it Unlocked and Running

A 26-year-old man left his car running with the windows down while he went into a store to buy a bottle of water. When he came back out five minutes later, the car was gone.

The theft took place on Washington Avenue at Lincoln Place at 7:20 p.m. on Monday, July 4.

 

Teen Mugged at Knifepoint on St. John’s Place

A man mugged a 14-year-old boy at knifepoint, stealing his iPod, backpack and six video games worth $330.

The boy was on St. Johns Place between Plaza and Underhill at 1:50 p.m. on July 3 when someone tapped him on the shoulder from behind, showed him a knife and grabbed the goods.  

 

Jeep Stolen

A 2007 Jeep Wrangler parked on Classon Avenue between Lincoln Place and Eastern Parkway was stolen on June 27 sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m.
