Laptop Swipe at Glass Shop

A 37-year-old man said his Lenovo Netbook computer were stolen from Glass Shop café last week, according to a police report.

The man said he left the computer in a backpack on a chair at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 and walked away. When he returned, the backpack, which also contained a checkbook, was gone, the report said.

Teens Make Good on Facebook Threats

Two teenaged girls were arrested after one of them hit a 15-year-old girl in the head with a belt buckle, cutting her forehead Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report.

The 15-year-old said the girls, aged 13 and 14, had been “making threats over Facebook” to “cut” and “hurt” her. The attack happened as on the corner of Dean Street and Underhill Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on May 11, according to the report.

 

Push-and-Run Cell Phone Snatch

A female thug pushed a 21-year-old woman and grabbed her iPhone as she was walking out the Eastern Parkway 2/3 train station Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report.

The push-and-snatch happened just after 3 p.m. on May 11.  Taken was a 4G iPhone worth $200 and Monster-brand headphones worth $100, according to the report.

 

Apparent Clean Freak Arrested for Tide Swipe

A 40-year-old man was arrested after a clerk said he took three bottles of Tide laundry detergent worth $34 from a Franklin Avenue bodega, according to a police report.

The alleged shoplifting took place at 9:35 p.m. on Sunday May 15 at Franklin mini market on the corner of Park Place, according to the report. 

Tide seems to be a hot item. Last month, a 50-year-old man was accused of taking seven jugs of Tide from NSA Supermarket on Washington Avenue, according to a police report.
