Man Shot in Head at P.S. 316's Playground

28-year-old was brought to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the head while in P.S. 316's playground this afternoon.

The man was shot at about 4:17 p.m. in the schoolyard at the corner of Park Place and Classon avenue, according to the NYPD.

The shooting appears to have happened during a charity basketball game, witnesses said.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was in critical condition this evening, police said.

This is the third violent attack this week in the 77th Precinct.

On Monday, July 25, in a stairwell of Albany Houses on Bergen Street between Albany and Troy avenues.

On Wednesday, in front of an apartment building on St. Johns Place between Underhill and Washington avenues.
