Fire on Schenectady Avenue

Two people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after fire broke out on first floor.

A fire broke out on the first floor of a three-story apartment house on Schenectady Avenue this morning, sending two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

Sixty firefighters battled the blaze in the 12-unit  building, located at 230 Schenectady Ave. at the corner of Sterling Place, an FDNY spokesman said

The fire broke out just before 7:05 a.m. and was under control at 7:29 a.m., the spokesman said.
