Sandy Largely Spares Prospect Heights; Batters Crown Heights [Photos]

Uprooted tree crashes into Prospect Place house; Lincoln Place blocked; several cars damaged.

 

As Hurricane Sandy crashed through Prospect and Crown Heights, trees were uprooted, cars damaged and at least one home hit. 

An uprooted tree crashed into a rowhouse on Prospect Place between Franklin and Bedford at about 6 p.m. Monday night, breaking two windows and damaging the origional outdoor molding and staircase railing, tenant Christian Reinhardsen said.

Nobody was hurt. 

On Lincoln Place an uprooted tree completely blocked the street and several other trees were taken down. 

On Prospect Place between Underhill and Washington a tree crashed into several cars.
