Police Blotter: Lincoln Place Mugging, Bar Attack, Cash Stolen From School, More

Lincoln Place Mugging

A man of about 20 followed a 34-year-old woman into the lobby of her building and grabbed her cell phone.

The mugging took place on Lincoln Place between Underhill and Washington on Monday, June 20 at about 9 p.m., according to a police report.

Purse Theft at Sharlene’s

A purse was stolen at Sharlene’s on Saturday, June 18.

A 29-year-old woman left her bag unguarded on a seat and when she returned at about 11:30 p.m. it was gone. The thief used her debit card the same night, though the police report did not say how much money was taken out of the account. In the purse was also a wallet with credit cards and $60 in cash, a cell phone and prescription medicine, according to a police report.

 

 Nightclub Assault

A 32-year-old man was punched and kicked in the face at B-Hive Lounge, on Atlantic Avenue at the corner of Grand Avenue on June 19.

The man said he was talking to his girlfriend at about 5 a.m. Sunday, June 19 when a man he didn’t know punched him, kicked him in the face and then fled, according to a police report.

 

Cash Stolen From School

A 56-year-old employee at P.S. 22, on the corner of St. Marks and Grand avenues reported that someone stole an envelope with $620 cash from her desk in the main office of the school.

The cash was taken sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 20, according to a police report. The report did not note why the envelope of cash was there.
