Photo of the Day: A Caged Bird Sings in Prospect Park

A zebra finch gets an outing with his owners, and sings up a storm. Thanks to Anne-Katrin Titze for sharing today's photo.

Today's photo come from reader Anne-Katrin Titze, who, during her daily visit to Prospect Park Saturday came upon this odd sight. She writes:

"On our stroll in Prospect Park along the watercourse, Ed and I came upon a lively male white Zebra Finch singing up a storm, following today's early morning rains. ... The trilling of Zola brightened the day."

According to Titze, there were "people hanging out who looked responsible" for the bird.
