Celebrate Brooklyn! Summer Lineup Announced
Free concert series at Prospect Park to include Jimmy Cliff, Ghostface Killah, Wilco, M. Ward, Yo La Tengo and Lyle Lovett.
The 35th season of Celebrate Brooklyn! will kick off on June 5 with a free concert by reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, and continue with 32 shows throughout the summer.
The concert series, hosted by Fort Greene’s and held at the Prospect Park Bandshell, will also include performances by Ghostface Killah on June 23, Wilco on July 24, Wild Flag and Mission of Burma on August 3, M. Ward and Yo La Tengo on August 7, and Lyle Lovett on August 11. (See below for the full line-up.)
Most shows are free, with a $3 suggested contribution at the gate, while a few of the bigger names will perform ticketed concerts. Memberships are also on sale, which offer reserved seats and access to food and drink at the Friends of Celebrate Brooklyn! tent.

“For 34 years, BRIC Arts has proudly presented this festival of free performances by outstanding artists in the gorgeous setting of Prospect Park,” said Leslie Schultz, Executive Director of BRIC Arts. “We are so grateful to all of the individuals, businesses, foundations, agencies and elected officials who help to keep strong this tradition of free, diverse programming presented for all to enjoy.”
For hungry music fans, Ditmas Park’s will offer a menu of seasonal fare, while Etsy NY will sell locally made goods.
