Skate Truck at Prospect Park Want to go roller skating with the kids but don't want to invest in the equipment? Today there will be skate and safety equipment rental and instruction by Skate Truck NYC at the 3rd Street entrance to the Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last rental at 3 p.m.). The truck will be at the park periodically over the summer (see link).

Lefferts House Events Today the historic house is hosting Race Around the Farmyard, where the whole family can participate in potato sack races, stilts and other old-fashioned games (2:30 to 3:30 p.m.) Lefferts Historic House at Prospect Park (Use entrance at Empire Boulevard and Flatbush and Ocean Avenues), Kids free, $3 suggested for adults.

Transit Museum: Windows of the Elevated Many of today’s elevated subway stations feature faceted glass scenes of the surrounding community and local culture. Kids will see examples of these vivid installations and then design their own.
