Photo Gallery: Prospect Park's Newest Waterfowl Settle In

Shots of some of the park's most recent arrivals.

Wildlife rehabilitator Anne-Katrin Titze sent us photographs of Prospect Park's gorgeous waterfowl.

She writes:

"The unseasonably warm temperatures over this Thanksgiving holiday weekend were enjoyed by many, including the waterfowl at Prospect Park Lake. American Coots began arriving following the Oct. 30 record snowfall and will most likely spend the winter in Brooklyn. The Muscovey couple along with the Pekin trio made their appearance after August's hurricane Irene and have settled in. The handsome Hooded Merganser pair is a November arrival from up North and may be going south for the winter. And the juvenile Double-crested Cormorant was born here over the summer and seems to be saying: "Where are the fish?"
