Parent Talk: At What Age Should Kids Take the Bus or Subway Alone?

The question of what age is safe to allow your child to take public transportation alone came from Prospect Heights parent Judy Keaney, who pointed out that this becomes a big question for parents when the kids hit middle school,  because that's often when Department of Education busing stops.
