1. You need a good laugh. Head to Washington Avenue for  for a free comedy night featuring Asie Mohtarez, George Gordon, Yannis Pappas, Jude Destin, Mara Herron and more. 683 Washington Ave. 9 p.m. Free.

2. You need to get to the movies, and to get outside. Do both at . Tonight the John Hughes festival continues with "Breakfast Club." Sundown (about 8 p.m.). Free.

3. You need to show off your breadth of knowledge. Head to . , 618 Saint Johns Pl. at Franklin. 9:00pm.

5. You need to know if your train is running, and if you have to move your car. There are no planned subway service changes affecting Prospect Heights today, according to the MTA. As for moving your car, alternate side is not suspended again until the Feast of the Assumption on Monday, August 15, according to the NYC DOT.
