Prime 6 is Now Woodland, Opens Sunday
The controversial "club" has been re-done as a "farm-to-table" restaurant, with a soft opening scheduled for this Sunday.
Controversial bar and restaurant Prime 6 has changed its name to Woodland, and is scheduled to open this Sunday, according to Brownstoner and the Flatbush Avenue BID.
Brownstoner says that the eatery is now less of a noisy sports bar or club, and instead wants to be the “go-to spot for farm-to-table food, super steaks, fresh fish, venison, bison burgers, etc.” And according to the blog's newest photo of the renovated space, the owners have re-done the facade in wood planking.
Last March, when it was announced that Prime 6, taking over the old Royal Video space, was swiftly granted a liquor license with little community input. Residents especially decried that the restaurant would serve until 4 a.m. and would have a late-night backyard space that would draw rowdy sports fans from the nearby Barclays Center.
