Prospect Heights Street Cleaning Event

JOIN YOUR BROOKLYN NEIGHBORS FOR A MORNING OF SPRING STREET CLEANING

New York City Streets are dirty. But it doesn't have to be that way! Pick up a broom, grab a glass of lemonade, and join your neighbors as we sweep the streets to clean our neighborhood, and our planet. Volunteers from the Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force will be on hand to teach tree care essentials. Coffee and donuts will be served, care of The Prospect Place of Brooklyn Block Association, Inc.

All are invited to attend, whether you live in Prospect Heights, or want to learn how to start a street cleaning event of your own. Come out and see how together we can make NYC a greener, cleaner place. All cleaning tools will be provided, care of the New York City Department of Sanitation.

Tip #1: This would be a great day for stoop sales! We anticipate good foot traffic, so you may want to show your wares that day.

Tip #2: Less garbage in the sewer means less burden on city infrastructure, and healthier oceans.

Tip #3: Safer healthier neighborhoods are good for residences and businesses. Start by greeting your neighbors, and getting to know each other with some street cleaning!

What: Prospect Heights Spring Street Cleaning
When: Sunday, June 2, 10:30 A.M - 12:30 P.M.
Where: 269 Prospect Place, between Vanderbilt and Underhill (Look for a table in the middle of the block with volunteers ready to get you set-up.)
