Community Corner

Brooklyn Photo Salon + Fundraiser Fete

Brooklyn Photo Salon is pleased to announce - master photographer, Chester Higgins Jr. will be our featured presenter. "Over the past five decades, Chester Higgins has produced a visual collection of compelling imagery reflecting a sensitive and in-depth diary of his explorations of the human Diaspora. He gives voice to the unseen interior spirit. His images resonate with a spiritual echo, which maintains the image and frees it from the constraints of time." Please visit www.ChesterHiggins.com.

The after party starts at 10.15 pm with DJ Revolution aka Lumumba Akinwole-Bandele, a professor, community organizer, and concert producer spinning on the wheels of steel with hypnotic rhythms from the African diaspora.

This is an event you do not want to miss, so save the date.
This event is a fundraiser for the next chapter of the Brooklyn Photo Salon in New Orleans.

BROOKLYN PHOTO SALON

The Brooklyn Photo Salon, established in 2008 by Regine Romain, showcases the work of emerging and established photographers through quarterly community gatherings. The salon promotes inter-generational dialogue on photography, builds a supportive community and advances the craft. Thus far, each salon has been tremendously successful in terms of audience participation, critical feedback and community building.
