8pm- Charlie Rauh and Concetta Abbate
Genre: Avant Pop
For fans of: Bill Frisell, Bjork, Iva Bittova, Patsy Cline

Charlie Rauh and Concetta Abbate draw from a vast arsenal of influences ranging from experimental, country, pop, folk, jazz, and folk. Their concise and unpredictable songs combined with a rapid performance  schedule continue to build the duo's reputation as a mainstay on multiple scenes along the east coast.

"This is music for folks who like things a little different--exploratory and sometimes rather free but expressing also a structural knack that melds the two personalities into a compositional-improvisational singularity." - Gregory Applegate Edwards (Author of Gapplegate Guitar and Bass Blog)

"...burgeoning composers" -
TimeOut New York

"Occasionally in New York you meet people in unexpected places. As a follower of musicians around town I get to know those that have a really distinctive sound. One of these is the combination of Charlie Rauh (guitar) and Concetta Abbatte (violin)

9pm- Mika Karni

10pm- Toby Singer
Genre: Indie-folk
For fans of: Nick Drake and Elliott Smith
For Michigan native Toby Singer, it started, like many things do, on lazy, late-summer days spent on the banks of Lake Michigan.  In music school, he wrote delicate, acoustic-guitar songs like one of his musical heroes Elliott Smith, complete with self-conscious vocal double tracking--when he was supposed to be studying European art songs. Things tend to come full circle, whether we realize it or not.  After a balmy summer night acknowledging both his own and the country’s independence, not unlike one from those on Lake Michigan in past years, Toby found himself back at some starting point, again.  With a guitar in hand and a little more experience to draw upon, he moves forward.
"Thus, it is refreshing when an artist like Toby Singer comes along and just plays pleasant songs that are derived directly from the heart.  He does not go out of his way in a desperate attempt to appear like that which he is not.  He has no need to.  His music speaks for him.  Nothing else is necessary.” –The SoundHound
