The Oldest Teddy Bear in the World!

No teddy bear can be older than 1903! History says the first teddy bear went on sale on Valentines Day 1903. When Morris Michtom got his letter back from President Theodore Roosevelt giving him the OK to use his Nick name Teddy for his new toy bears. History says Morris Michtom did not file patents or copyrights on his invention. This very early hand made bear of his, which is now in my possession, is a wealth of information! ( A time capsule).  In 1905 Steiff registered the button in the ear trademark! Then I ask the world! Why would my very old, 1903 Ideal bear have these two metal pins sticking out of his arm with heads like a kinda nail look, 1/4 inch apart. Could this be Michtoms way of button in the arm, design, to identify his creation. History says in the very beginning there were two bear companies, Ideal and steiff. 1903 to 1905. In the very beginning Morris Michtom bears were just called Morris bears. He and his wife Rose Hand made so few of these original bears compared to the mass production of its German competition. It's no wonder these Genuine, Original Teddy's were lost in time! This old bear of mine belongs in the Smithsonian Institute! But I've learned, I can't do this alone. I am reaching out for help! Every week I write to important people with no reply. Sometimes people are afraid of the truth and change!. I always thought that history was all about the truth. When I was growing up we were told Columbus discovered America. Now we find out that's not true! Life goes on! Last year at a doll and teddy bear show at the fair grounds, I stopped at at booth with many dolls and just one old bear. Showing off my old bear I told the lady  that I would like to help bring back the demand for the teddy bear and she she said something needs to be done to bring back the appeal for the Teddy Bear, again! Only Time will Tell.
