Why Go: CALLE 13 released their self-titled debut in 2005 and have since won a record nineteen Latin Grammy Awards, as well as two Grammy Awards. According to the New York Times their groundbreaking and eclectic urban style has made this Puerto Rican band “one of the most popular and innovative in Latin music, without fitting any recognizable mold.”

Why Go: Come celebrate Babeland Brooklyn’s 4th anniversary! For four years the adult store has been dishing out toys and tips to the “sexiest borough.” Nearly everything in the store is 20 percent off. Need to be 18 + to enter.

Where/When: , 622 Degraw St, Friday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Brooklyn-based rockers Great Caesar are known for their raucous live show, dazzling horn harmonies and the crunching baritone of lead-singer, John-Michael Parker. Since their inception in 2003, the band has played hundreds of shows across the East coast, sharing stages with acts such as Deerhoof, The Decemberists, Third Eye Blind, Girl Talk, and Does it Offend You, Yeah.

Why Go: Come celebrate Bastille Day with free coffee, bagels and biscuits. Beagles will have a singing contest. Bring your beagle behind the Picnic House on the Long Meadow (near 5th St. and PPW).

Why Go: To mark the 35th anniversary of “Saturday Night Fever,” catch the screening of the original (rated R—not appropriate for a younger audience) and celebrate its legacy with a pre-film set by TRAGEDY, the Tri-State Area’s #1 heavy metal tribute to the Bee Gees.

Where/When: Lincoln Rd & Ocean Ave, Sunday, July 15 at 3 p.m.

Why Go: Find out how to use binoculars to spot some of the incredible species of birds that call Prospect Park home. Learn the history of the Boathouse and see little-known curiosities about the Park and its animal residents. Meet at the Audubon Center.
