Report: Pierce To Miss 2-4 Weeks With Broken Hand

Forward the latest Nets player to succumb to injury bug.

As if the Brooklyn Nets didn't have enough problems.

An ESPN report revealed Monday that Nets forward Paul Pierce broke a bone in his right hand Friday night in a loss to the Houston Rockets.

The injury will force Pierce, who came to the Nets in a mega-trade last off-season, to miss as much as a month of action.

The Nets had already been struggling mightily, posting a dismal 5-12 record during their first 17 games, and fighting injuries ranging from mild to severe to key players including Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and now Pierce.

The Nets kick off a two-game home stretch this week, playing the Nuggets Tuesday and the Knicks Thursday at the Barclays Center.
