According to Shambhala Yoga & Dance Center's website, this workshop will "focus on breaking down the safest and most graceful ways to work into headstand, tripod headstand, and transitioning into headstand from other poses. Starting from step 1, it's geared to help you smoothly and safely move into the world of being upside down."
Part 2: Cultivating a Sustainable Inversion Practice through Forearm Stand (Pincha Mayurasana) Sunday, May 22
This workshop, according to Shambhala's website, will "focus on breaking down the most effective ways to gracefully lift into and stay up in pincha mayurasana (forearm stand). We'll dissect what needs to happen for you to make this pose a part of your daily practice. We'll also review transitioning into headstand variations from other poses so if you missed part 1 no need to worry!"
Part 3: Igniting Your Practice with Handstands Coming in June (date TBA)
The last of this three-part series will "focus on developing a healthy and clean handstand practice. We'll work on pranayama, bandhas, and heart-opening techniques that inform handstands, handstand transitions (including handstand to chaturanga) and the handstand of all handstands - THE PRESS."
