2012 Olympics: Where to Watch in Prospect Heights

Cheer on Team USA as they go for the gold in London at these great area bars.

 

Go USA! When it comes to cheering on our countrys Olympians (including at least ) it's always better to do it with a crowd. Here are six great places to watch the London 2012 Olympic Games.

234 Underhill Ave. (at Lincoln) 718-399-6680. This comfortable bar will be showing the Olympics for most events after 2:30 p.m. each day.   

. 635 Vanderbilt Ave. (at Prospect) 718-622-6463. Normally a golf bar, this brand new spot will be showing the Olympics on several screens through the duration. 

, 603 Vanderbilt Ave. (at Bergen) 718-484-8704. All the games will be showing on a large screen plus three additional TVs at this Western-themed bar known for its extensive beer selection. There will be special Four Square check in specials. 

, 307 Flatbush Ave. at Prospect, 718-230-8646. Not only will this energetic Mexican restaurant be showing the games, but they also offer a private viewing for you and your friends in the back room "Margarita Lounge" with its own 42" flatscreen TV (call for details).

636 Carlton Ave., 347-915-2222. Head to this new farm-to-table restaurant specializing in sutainable and organic cuisine to watch the games in style. 

 755 Dean St.  (at Underhill) 718-783-3326. This upscale bar and restaurant will be showing the game all day and evening. Weekdays between 12pm and 3pm, they are offering $4 draft beer for those at the bar watching the Olympics. 

, 769 Washington Ave. (at St. Johns) 347-442-5959.  This Washington Avenue spot will be showing the games every day. Plus, there will be $5 martinis, $3 shooters, $3 Pabst Blue Ribbon, plus a dollar off all beers.

, 308 Flatbush Ave. (at Park Place) 718-857-5555. This sprawling space has eight TVs at the bar and eleven on the floor, plus pool and other games if a not-so-exciting event comes on. 

Plan B, 626 Vanderbilt Ave. (at Prospect) 347-240-2171. There are plenty of flatscreens showing the game all the time here, and a menu that includes such treats as pork dumplings, empanadas and lobster ravioli.

, 583 Vanderbilt Ave. (at Dean) 718-857-5777. Although Woodwork is officially a soccer bar, they will not only be showing the Olympic Opening Ceremonies on several screens, but they're offering $3 beers and a $6 beer-and-shot combos including the"USA, USA" with Miller High Life and Evan Williams. They will be showing other selected competitions as well including some track-and-field events.
