Student Wreath Winners Announced

Two classrooms at P.S. 9 and Educare won pizza parties from WAPHA, for their winning wreath designs.

Students from and once again with a pizza party from the Washington Avenue/Prospect Heights Association.

The winning class at P.S. 9 was Marlene Henriquez’s kindergarten classroom, whose wreath was displayed at Bar Sepia; the winning class at Educare was the Nursery 2 classroom, who wreath was displayed at Rawstar.

The contest, sponsored by WAPHA, invited classrooms from the two schools to decorate their own unique holiday wreaths, which would be displayed in local business windows. .

“Every holiday wreath this year was beautiful and unique, making this year’s contest an especially tight-race, so we would also like to congratulate all of the students who decorated wreaths this year, as well as each and every participating merchant,” said Rebeca Ramirez, Commercial Revitalization Manager for Heart of Brooklyn, in a statement.
