POLL: Is Chancellor Walcott Improving the DOE?

Six months into his job leading the city's public schools, the Daily News asks, "Is Dennis Walcott the new Cathie Black?"

The Daily News took a look at Chancellor Dennis Walcott's work leading the city's public schools, and at six months into the job, found many parents and officials questioning his promises to bolster family involvement.

While calling Walcott a "huge improvement" over former publishing executive Cathie Black's three-month reign, and lauding the time he has spent with students and teachers (and attending graduation ceremonies), the Daily News says he has a lot to prove to his critics.

Eva Moskowitz of The Success Charter Network, , was quoted in the report as saying, "He needs to be bolder."
