Obama to Visit Crown Heights School Friday
Obama will stop at P-Tech on Friday, Daily News reports.
President Barack Obama will be in Brooklyn on Friday, according to the New York Daily News, stopping at Pathways in Technology Early College High School in Crown Heights.
According to the paper, the president will be visiting the Albany Avenue high school to lead a discussion on the importance of helping American students compete in an increasingly technology-dependent global marketplace.
The mission of the high school — a collaboration between the New York City Department of Education, IBM and CUNY — is to foster a greater understanding of mechanical science and engineering in its students. Young people at the school graduate with both a diploma and an associates degree.
