Prospect Heights Walking Tour

A free walking tour on Prospect Height's history, architecture and area restaurants, schools and other neighborhood features will take place today at 12:30 p.m.

The real estate firm Aguayo and Huebener is hosting the event, which is open to anyone thinking of moving to the neighborhood. 

The tour will be conducted by Levy’s Unique New York and start at 499 Dean Street at 12:30pm and end at 659 Bergen Street at 2pm.

Refreshments will be served at both locations. The 90-minute tour will cover not only local history and architecture but also will point out the best restaurants, bars, public transportation and schools in the area.

“We wanted to provide an opportunity for people who are seriously considering moving to the neighborhood to get to know it in a meaningful way,” said Aguayo and Huebener's Kate Akerly, who organized the tour, in a news release.

"Our walking tours are much more than an open house tour. By the end of it, our guests will have a real sense of what it would be like to live in the neighborhood,” she added.
