Towns Will Start 'Aggressively' Campaigning Later This Month
Though the incumbent congressman has kept a low profile, Towns' team is confident he won't be unseated come June.

Edolphus “Ed” Towns hasn't done much so far to keep his Congressional seat intact, but with the election coming up in June, a spokesperson says that the 29-year incumbent with begin “aggressively” campaigning later this month, says Crain’s New York Business (subscription required).
According to the article, Towns skipped a big debate in Canarsie, as well as the endorsement meeting of Bed-Stuy’s influential Vanguard Independent Democrats. Crain’s says that Towns hasn’t even hired a campaign team, but that will change once he against Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries and Councilman Charles Barron.
