If illumination of a three-story menorah isn't enough, now there's another reason to come to tonight's : Mayor Bloomberg is going to be there.
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will also attend the event, which begins at 5:45 p.m.
The event is organized by Chabad of Prospect Heights and also includes juggling, music, dancing, gifts for the children and free latkes.
Festivities continue each night through Dec. 28 (but tonight is your only chance to catch the juggling, Bloomberg and Markowitz). Here's the schedule: Dec. 20 at 5:45 p.m., Dec. 21-22 at 6 p.m., Dec. 23 at 3:30 p.m., Dec. 24 at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 25-28 at 6 p.m.
If you'd prefer something more low-key (and warmer) head instead to P.S. 321 for a Story of Chanukah Puppet Show performed by Small Wonder Puppet Theatre beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Events at the school also include latkes, sufganyot (traditional Chanukah donuts), door prizes, face painting and arts and crafts.
P.S. 321 is located at 80 Seventh Ave. Cost is $5 per person. RSVP if possible to firstname.lastname@example.org.
