Flash Flood Warning For NYC

As much as four inches of rain forecast through Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has activated a flash flood warning for the five boroughs through 7:15 p.m. Friday night.

In addition, a flash flood watch will be active across the city until 2 p.m. Saturday, as a result of an overhead storm that could dump as much as four inches of rain.

The remnants of the storm — now classified as a post-tropical cyclone named Andrea — will be over the city trough Saturday afternoon.

Drivers are advised to take it slow on evening commutes, as the heaviest of the rainfall is likely to occur this evening.
