Fire on St. Johns Place Leaves 1 With Minor Injuries

A late-night fire in an apartment building on St. Johns Place injured one person Monday night.

Flames broke out just before 11:57 p.m. on the top floor of the four-story building at 411 St. Johns Place between Washington and Underhill, an FDNY spokesman said.

Twelve fire trucks and about 60 firefighters fought the blaze, which were put under control at 11:20 p.m.

The the injured person—a civilian not a firefighter—was treated by emergency workers at the scene for smoke inhalation the spokesman said.
