FASTrack Repairs To Affect 4, 5, 6 Service This Week

The Lexington Avenue line will be shut down overnight between tonight and Thursday, Sept. 3-6 to allow for repairs.

The 4, 5 and 6 lines will be shut down between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sept. 3-6 from Grand Central-42 St. to Atlantic Av.-Barclays Ctr. for FASTrack repairs.

According to the MTA: “By completely suspending train service over a segment of a subway line, we give our workers uninterrupted access to tracks, signals, cables, lighting, third rail components and platform edges.”

  • There will be no 4 train service between Grand Central-42 St. and Atlantic Av.-Barclays Ctr.
  • Overnight 3 line service is extended into Brooklyn making all 4 line stops.
  • The 5 train in Manhattan will end early, and there will be no 6 trains between Grand Central-42 St. and Brooklyn Bridge.

For a full list of alternate options for getting around, go to the MTA’s FASTrack page.
