Responsibilities include the following:
- Plan for community revitalization projects in District 8
- Advise Community Board membership on commercial and residential proposals being developed
- Discuss liquor applications--both new and renewals--before the State Liquor Authority for clubs, bars, restaurants, local grocery stores, and other establishments in the District
- Disseminate information on economic development to community residents
- Schedule public hearings pertaining to proposed changes in district development
