Election Notebook: This Week in the Campaigns

What's up this week in NYC politics.

Here's what's gone on this week in the race for City Hall.

To start off the week, Christine Quinn and Joe Lhota picked up the endorsements of both the New York Times and the New York Post in their run for mayor on the Democratic and Republican tickets.

Despite not getting the nod from either paper, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio vaulted into a big lead in the latest Quinnipiac poll, which was released on Wednesday.

Comptroller candidate and former governor Eliot Spitzer made a stop in Brooklyn this week, trying to bone up on his outer-borough bona fides.

It didn't help, evidently, as the latest poll has him now in a tie for the office with Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.
