A worker was taken to the hospital in serious condition after falling through the floor of a St. Marks Avenue construction site Tuesday morning.
The man was driving a small construction vehicle on the second floor of the building when he hit a weak floorboard and the man and machine fell through, an official from the city's Office of Emergency Management said.
He was taken "unconscious and bleeding" to Kings County Hospital, an EMS worker said.
The accident took place just before 11:10 a.m., at 344 Saint Marks Ave. between Underhill and Washington Avenues, where workers are in the process of gutting the building to convert it to apartments, fire officials and workers at the site said.
