Police Blotter: Vandal Pours Liquid Plumber on Garden

Lethal Flower Shower

Someone poured liquid plumber on a woman's garden. The vandalism killed $50 worth of flowers, which were planted in front of the woman's apartment building on Park Place between Grand and Classon avenues. The incident took place sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, according to a police report.

Passenger Breaks Taxi Window

A 40-year-old man was charged with criminal mischief after a cabbie reported that he broke the taxi’s passenger-side rear window by kicking it, causing $200 worth of damage. The incident happened at the intersection of St. Marks and Flatbush just before 4:10 p.m. on Friday, May 18, according to a police report. 

 

Driver Flees Accident

A driver took off after crashing with another car at the intersection of Sterling Place and Underhill Avenue. The 33-year-old man driving the second vehicle was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center with knee injuries and lower back pain. The accident took place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, according to a police report.

 

St. Marks Avenue Bike Theft

A 40-year-old man reported that someone stole his Specialized CrossTrail, worth $600, sometime between May 14 and 15 out of his garage on St. Marks Avenue between Classon and Franklin avenues. The garage door had been broken for several days, the man said, according to a police report.

 

Cocaine Arrest

A 60-year-old man was charged with drug possession after cops arrested him for littering and discovered he was carrying methadone, cocaine and “a loose pill.” Cops also discovered there was already a warrant out for his arrest. The arrest took place on Saturday, May 19, according to a police report.
