Two Men Beaten in Anti-Gay Attack
Four attackers yelled gay slurs while punching, kicking and beating the men with sticks.
Two men were beaten, kicked and hit with sticks by a group yelling gay slurs at them last week.
The men were walking toward the corner of Franklin Avenue and Prospect Place at about 3:10 a.m. last Tuesday, when two men started punching them in the face and kicking them, according to a police report.
The victims started running from the men, who chased them. They saw two woman and run up to them for help, but the women “produced two wooden sticks” and proceeded to beat the men with the sticks. Eventually the men were able to run away.

During the beating, all four of the attackers yelled “get off my block f----ts,” according to the report.
As of this afternoon there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, police said. The report did not indicate the age of the victims or attackers.
