Suspect In Cab Hold-Ups Robbed Crown Heights Driver

Suspect has allegedly stolen cash from cab drivers at knifepoint.

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a handful of Brooklyn cab robberies, one of which took place in Crown Heights. 

The incidents in question took place in July, October and November, with the most recent occurring on Dec. 6. 

The two October incidents took place in Bed-Stuy on back-to-back days, Oct. 6 and Oct. 7. In each incident, the suspect hops into the back of a cab, then on the way to the destination, draws a knife on the cab driver and demands cash. 

Both Bed-Stuy incidents took place near Macdonough Street, one in the 79th Precinct, and one in the 81st Precinct. 

Two other robberies took place in Canarsie in July and November. The most recent hold-up, On Dec. 6, was in Crown Heights, at the intersection of Bedford and Empire Boulevard. In each incident, the suspect held up the victim, a cab driver, with a knife.

Police released a photo of the suspect. He is 5'8" and 180 pounds.
