Woman Attacked on Washington Avenue 

A man pushed a 27-year-old woman into the lobby of a Washington Avenue building between Bergen and Dean streets Wednesday and groped her. He fled after she screamed, according to police reports.

The Prospect Heights woman told police the attack happened just after midnight on March 23. She described the man as about 5-9 and 175 pounds, according to police reports.

Man Charged with Beating Girlfriend

A 36-year-old was arrested on charges of 3rd degree assault after his girlfriend told cops he punched her repeatedly in the face as she was getting her children ready for a bath. The attack happened inside an apartment on Bergen Street between Classon and Franklin avenues Friday at about 6:30 p.m., according to police reports.

 

Boy Mugged at Knifepoint for Notebook

A 12-year-old boy told cops he was walking home from school on Tuesday, March 22, at 3:25 p.m. when two males stopped him at the corner of Washington Avenue and Sterling Place. One of them pulled out a knife and asked him for “property.” The boy handed him his notebook and the men fled, according to police reports. 

 

Man Mugged for iPod

An 18-year-old man told police was walking down Grand Avenue between Dean and Pacific streets at about 2:25 p.m. Friday, March 25, when three men surrounded him and took his iPod touch, worth $225, and fled, according to police reports.

 

Bicycle Stolen from Apartment Hallway

 A 25-year-old man told police that his $900 bicycle was stolen from the hallway of an apartment building on Washington Avenue between St. Marks and Bergen at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, according to police reports. The reports did not indicate whether or not the bike was locked.
