Police Blotter: Wife Charged with Burning Husband with Pot of Hot Water

Painkiller mugging, $1,700 bike theft and other reports from the 77th Precinct.

Painkiller Mugging

A 54-year-old was walking on St. Johns Place between Underhill and Washington, when, in the middle of the afternoon, someone came up behind him and put him into a chokehold. The thief then reached into the man’s pockets, found a bottle of medicine and took off. The man was not injured from the attack, which took place at 1:25 p.m. on June 20.

 

$1,700 Bike Theft

 A 40-year-old man reported that someone stole a Bianchi Camaleonte 4 bicycle worth $1,700. The bike was taken from the garage of his apartment building, located on Bergen Street between Grand and Classon avenues, sometime between June 12 and June 17, according to a police report.  

 

Wife Charged With Throwing Pot of Hot Water at Husband 

A 38-year-old woman was charged with second degree assault after she threw a pot of hot water from the stove at her husband’s face during an argument.

The 34-year-old man had “redness and substantial pain to the face and ear,” and was treated at the scene by EMS workers, according to a police report.

The attack took place at the couple’s apartment on Eastern Parkway between Underhill and Washington avenues at 10:20 a.m. on June 20.

 

Woman Arrested in Dish Attack

A 19-year-old woman was arrested after she threw a dish at a 45-year-old man, cutting his forehead, according to a police report.

The man was taken to Kings County Hospital. The report did not indicate the relationship between the pair. The attack took place in an apartment on Lincoln Place between Washington and Underhill on June 24 at 1 a.m.
