Man Punched and Robbed on Atlantic Avenue

Two men were charged with punching and robbing a man in the middle of the afternoon Sunday. The victim was at the intersection of Franklin and Atlantic avenues on May 13 at around 1 p.m. when the pair came up to him from behind and began punching him in the head. Next they threw the man to the ground, causing him to scrape his hand and both elbows, and took his cell phone and $30 in cash, according to a police report.

Dean Street Road Rage

A 37-year-old man attacked a 42-year-old after their cars crashed at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Dean Street. Immediately after the cars collided at about  1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, the 37-year-old man jumped out of his car, ran up to the other driver and punched him in the face, arm and hand. Cops arrived and arrested the 37-year-old on the spot, according to a police report.

 

Man Burns Woman with Curling Iron

A 27-year-old man charged with burning his significant other’s arm with a curling iron and then punching, kicking and hitting the 30-year-old woman in her face with a sneaker during an argument. The attack took place on Wednesday, May 9 in the couple's Bergen Street home and the man was arrested two days later, according to a police report.

 

Car Tires Slashed

A 48-year-old man returned to his car, which he had parked on Atlantic Avenue between Grand and Classon, on May 7, and discovered that someone had slashed the tires, according to a police report.
