Police Blotter: Springtime Crowbar Attack and Driver Flees Accident

The following information was provided by the 77th Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction. 

Woman Injured, Driver Flees

A driver in a U-Haul fled after getting into an accident that sent a 52-year-old woman to the hospital. 

The accident took place on Bergen Street between Washington and Grand  shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10. The victim was treated at Methodist Hospital. The report did not indicate the extent of the woman's injuries.   

Crowbar Attack on Sterling Place

A 25-year-old man was punched, kicked and thrown to the ground by five men he'd never seen before. One of the men hit him several times with a metal crowbar in the head, arms, hands, causing cuts and bruises.  

The attack took place at the corner of Bedford and Sterling on April 18 at about 1 a.m.

SUV Theft

A 49-year-old woman reported that someone stole her Land Rover from St. Marks Avenue between Vanderbilt and Underhill between April 15 and 17.
