Police Blotter: Purse Snatching, Stabbing and More

A roundup of crime in the 77th Precinct.

Car robbed

On September 26 at about 6 a.m., the following property was removed from a 2000 green Ford Taurus parked on Prospect Place at Classon Avenue: a black purse, a Chase bank card, a Bank of America debit card, a glucose meter, a Social Security card, drivers license and medical insurance card.

Stabbing

A 16-year-old male was stabbed in the back on September 30, at around 6:15 p.m., while walking southbound on Franklin Avenue from Pacific Street. Police canvassed the area for a black man of undetermined age, 5’8” and 150 lbs, but the search came up negative.

 

Robbery

A 30-year-old woman was robbed in front of a building on St. Johns Place, near Washington Avenue, on September 29 at 9 p.m. The perpetrator, a 25-year-old man, displayed a black taser gun, and took from the victim an iPod, a Bank of America card and $110 in cash. The suspect has been repeatedly calling the victim on the phone, identifying himself as “Terrence.”

 

Assault

On October 2, at 2:35 p.m., inside at apartment at Dean Street, at Carlton Avenue, a verbal dispute between father and son turned violent as the 32-year-old son punched his father twice in the face, causing a laceration, bleeding and swelling. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction, and a police canvass of the area came up negative.

 

Stolen airbag

On October 1, at 8 p.m., a 2007 white Nissan Frontier was broken into, and had it’s airbag ($500) stolen, from where it was parked on Underhill Avenue near Prospect Place.
