Police Blotter: Pedestrian Rage and Grand Army Plaza iPad Snatch

Pedestrian Rage

A 40 year-old man was charged with kicking a car after accusing the driver nearly hitting him.

The driver was parking the car on Lincoln Place near the corner of Underhill on the afternoon of April 14 when the incident occurred. 

The pedestrian said he was walking behind the car and the driver almost drove into him. Then he called the driver incompetent and kicked the car so hard it left a sizable dent. The pedestrian was arrested at the scene. 


iPad Snatch

A pair of thieves snatched an iPad out a woman's hand as she was walking near Grand Army Plaza in the middle of the day.

The 42-year-old woman was on St. Johns Place between Plaza Street East and Underhill Avenue at 10:10 a.m. when one of them grabbed the $1,200, 64 gig device and ran off. The theft took place on April 11.
 

Lincoln Place Break-In

Someone broke into an apartment near the corner of Lincoln Place and Washington Avenue and stole $1,197 worth of goods.

The thief came in through the front door, sometime during the day on April 11 and took a 42" television, an xBox, a hard drive, Michael Jordan sneakers and other goods.
