Neighbor Charged With Cell Phone Lift

A 40-year-old man was charged with stealing a woman’s cell phone from her purse after she left the bag in their apartment building hallway while she went upstairs. The theft, which was caught on camera, too place at 7:35 p.m. on July 7 and the man was arrested at the apartment building, located on Washington Avenue at St. Marks Avenue on July 14, according to a police report.

Coffee Shop iPhone Grab

A 26-year-old man reported that someone stole his iPhone 4 while he was at Coffee Bites on Washington Avenue at St. Johns Place sometime between 11:15 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. on June 29, according to a police report.

 

Washington Avenue Bike Theft

A 32-year-old man reported that someone stole a 1978 Schwinn Roadie bicycle worth $250 from the first floor hallway of his apartment building on Washington Avenue between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place sometime between June 27 and 29, according to a police report. The report did not indicate whether the bike was locked.
