Police Blotter: Man Robbed on Prospect Place, Bike Theft, More

Teen Attacked and Robbed on Prospect Place

An 18-year-old man was robbed and attacked inside the vestibule of a building on Prospect Place between Classon and Franklin avenues around noon on July 5th. The pair of thieves followed the teen into the building and then kicked and punched him. They took his wallet and foreigner ID registration card and fled to the nearby Park Place subway station.

2 Women Hit in Separate Incidents

A man was arrested after hitting a 30-year-old woman in the face, splitting her lip, during an argument on Butler Place near Sterling on July 10. As the woman tried to call 911, the man grabbed the cell phone and threw it to the ground.

In a similar incident, a man was arrested after he attacked a 29-year-old woman during an argument on July 5. The pair were arguing on Sterling Place between Franklin and Bedford when the man punched her and threw her to the ground. He was arrested at the scene.  

 

Locked Bike Stolen on Eastern Parkway

A thief made off with a bike from a public area of an apartment building on Eastern Parkway at Underhill on July 8th. The owner locked the bike up and when he came back 15 minutes later the lock was cut and the bike was gone.  

 

2 Car Break Ins

There were at least two car break-ins this week:

- Tools and other items worth $200 were taken from an unlocked 2006 Ford van parked on Prospect Place between Carlton and Vanderbilt on the afternoon of July 8th.   

- A 2003 Nissan Altima was broken into on the night of July 8th. The car, which was parked at the corner of Classon and St. Marks avenues, had a broken rear passenger window and the car radio stolen.
