Police Blotter: Car Break In, Assault, More

A roundup of crime from the 77th Precinct

The following information was supplied by the 77th Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Burglary

A 33-year-old woman returned home from work at 8:20 pm on September 15 to find her door unlocked. The apartment located on Prospect Pl. and Classon Ave. had been ransacked and items were taken from the apartment. The items totaled $1,485 and included $600 cash, a Panasonic Lumix Camera ($315) and an IBM laptop ($570). A canvas of the neighborhood returned no results.

Car Break In

A 2002 blue Volkswagen Jetta sedan was broken into on September 17 at 7:30pm. The thief broke the front passenger side window and took items totaling $120. The items were a USB charger ($20), I-Phone charging card ($40), and GPS ($60).

Beauty Supply Theft

An unknown man walked into a beauty supply store on September 18, at 11:30 am. and stole items totaling $30. The owner of the store, located on Franklin Ave, and Eastern Pkwy. tried to apprehend the thief, but was unable to catch him. Police canvassed the area and arrested a 33-year-old man.

Assault

A 27-year-old woman was arguing with her husband at their apartment on Prospect Pl. and Grand Ave. when he choked her, causing her to fall and bruising her arm and wrist. The incident took place on September 18 at 8:30am. She refused medical attention and her 30-year-old husband was arrested on the scene.
