Car Theft on Park Place

A 40-year-old woman had her front car window broken into on Park Place at Vanderbilt on Thursday, July 14 at 11:30am. The unknown theif ran out with $370 worth of objects including a wallet, flash drive and cell phone.

Home Theft on Prospect Place

Police are still looking for clues after a theif entered the home of a 24-year-old man on Prospect Place near Vanderbilt on Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00pm. After breaking through the rear window, $1,350 of items were stolen including an X-Box, video games and an iPad. A canvas around the area was completed with negative results.

 

Auto Theft on Sterling Place

Police are still searching for the 2006 Toyota Rav 4 of a 23-year-old woman after it was stolen where it was parked at on Sterling Place at Butler on Thursday, July 14 at 7:15am.  

 

Nightclub Assault on Atlantic Avenue

Two men, ages 54 and 23, were arrested for assault on a 33-year-old man as he left a nightclub on Atlantic Avenue near Vanderbilt on Sunday, July 17 at 3:40am. The 54-year-old hit the man with a 2-foot long electrical cable, while the 23-year-old attacked his hands and feet. The victim suffered substantial bruises and pain to his head and body, and was transferred to Methodist Hospital.

 

Taxi Driver Assaulted on Franklin Avenue

A 62-year-old male taxi driver was assaulted by two male transvestites that he had picked up on Christopher St. in Manhattan. When he dropped them off at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Sterling Place, one of the men maced the drover, while the other punched him in the face several times before stealing his wallet.
